Jose Rizal: Not Just a Wise Man

We all know Jose Rizal, our national hero, was a very wise and well educated man. "Pepe" studied in two well known Universities, Ateneo De Manila University and the University of Santo Tomas respectively. But did you know Rizal was an athlete himself? In the picture below you can see Rizal practicing his fencing skills against Juan Luna.
According to former  Philippine Amateur Judo Association President Rey Jaylo, Rizal was the first South East Asian to master a Japanese Sport - JUDO. In another hand Rizal was also a Boxing practitioner so imagine him today in the UFC fighting one of the best! That would be so cool! :))

2013 - The year of the snake.

*The snake is the sixth sign in the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 animal signs.

*Since I was born in the year of the Dog, according to http://sophiaangelique.hubpages.com/hub/2013PredictionsChienseZodiacYearoftheSnake

2013 Predictions for those born in the Year of the Dog
Like the sheep, the dog will do well this year. This doesn’t mean that the dog will not come face to face with the slow moving obstacles that will hit everyone this year; it just means that the nature of the dog moves well at the pace of the water snake. This enables the dog to achieve his/her goals with a bit of avoidance strategy (avoiding the bumps). The dog should not be tempted to give up when things don’t seem to move forward; just keep going. It’s a slow year.

The Air Jordan "Banned"

For my first ever post! :)  THE AIR JORDAN 1 "Banned". Yeap! This shoe was really banned in the NBA. Despite the issue surrounding this shoe Michael Jordan continued to wear this kicks even though Commissioner David Stern fined him 5000 dollars for every game he wore this shoe. Nike used this as a promotional tool in advertisements saying that whoever wears this shoe will have a certain edge against their opponents. This shoe was released last October 18, 1985

*was banned because of the first colorway released had no white on them (left side)

*later Nike released a new colorway whom Jordan wore for the rest of the 86-87 season (right side)
